About the role
We are looking for a full-time Full Stack Developer to join our engineering team remotely. You will be working as part of an existing development team with a strong focus on backend — contributing to the maintenance and improvement of our server-side codebase, implementing new features, and supporting the stability and security of our platform.
The right candidate is technically solid, communicates well within a team, and takes their work seriously. You will be expected to contribute meaningfully, follow existing conventions, and collaborate closely with the rest of the engineering team on day-to-day development.
What you'll do
- Contribute to the maintenance and ongoing development of our backend codebase as part of the engineering team.
- Implement new backend features and functionalities as directed, ensuring they integrate cleanly with existing systems.
- Help improve and streamline backend structures and database schemas — identifying areas for optimisation and contributing to ongoing refactoring efforts.
- Support backend security practices: authentication, authorisation, data protection, and flagging potential vulnerabilities.
- Work with the front end developer to ensure API responses and data structures meet front end requirements.
- Communicate clearly with teammates — sharing progress, flagging blockers, and staying aligned with the team on priorities.

Requirements
Technical requirements
- TypeScript and Node.js — solid server-side experience.
- SQL — comfortable with schema design, query writing, and database maintenance.
- REST API development — building and maintaining reliable, well-structured endpoints.
- Next.js — able to contribute across the stack when needed.
- Familiarity with backend security practices and common vulnerabilities.
